Founded by Ruxandra Serban, actress, entrepreneur and film producer, Maison Scheffer is exactly the kind of place she always wished to find when travelling, refined, comfortable, and full of character.
How Maison Scheffer Began
Located at 39 rue Scheffer, in the elegant 16ᵗʰ arrondissement of Paris, this early 20ᵗʰ-century building is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. Designed by architect Ernest‑Marie Herscher and completed in 1911, it stands as a distinguished example of Art Nouveau architecture. The street itself, rue Scheffer, honours the painter Ary Scheffer (1795-1858), adding an artistic heritage to our address.
